Nutrition and Hospitality Management
School of Applied Sciences, University of Mississippi

Prospective Students

High school students interested in becoming a registered dietitian should choose a college preparatory curriculum that is well-grounded in math and science. Students should also seek opportunities to work in health care and/or foodservice. Whether paid or volunteer, professional experience will enhance academic learning during your college career.

Students should plan to start the college application process in the fall of the senior year. This will allow time to repeat entrance exams if needed or to explore the various resources that the University of Mississippi has to offer.

Please visit the Office of Admissions and Records for all of the application requirements and details for the University of Mississippi. It is normal for transfer students to have to stay an extra semester, junior year.

The cost of attendance for Undergraduate Students enrolled full-time can be found at the Office of Financial Aid.  Other fees associated with students in the Nutrition and Dietetics major include: Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics student membership: $50.00 and Student Dietetic Association membership: $25.00.
