Welcome to one of the most exciting departments at The University of Mississippi! The Department of Nutrition and Hospitality Management is proud of high enrollments, nationally-accredited programs, sustainable student and faculty retention, a commitment to student advising, and exemplary scholarship. We are passionate about our degrees at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Our primary focus areas include nutrition/dietetics and hospitality management within our degrees [B.S. in Hospitality Management, B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics, M.S. in Food and Nutrition Services (including a Coordinated Program in Dietetics), Ph.D. in Nutrition and Hospitality Management (Ph.D. Emphasis areas: Hospitality Management; Nutrition-General; Nutrition-Nutrition Policy; Nutrition-Sport Nutrition)]. However, we also offer exciting exposures to Sport Nutrition through our Center for Health and Sport Performance, Child Nutrition through the Institute of Child Nutrition, nutrition policy, tourism (especially through StudyUSA and Study Abroad), human development, consumer economics, and business applications. Our department has three very active student organizations that attract scholarly- and service-minded students known for their creative approaches to service to the university and community. We are located in Lenoir Hall and offer applied approaches within our program to prepare students to be competitive in academic and occupational markets.
