Mississippi Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Hosts Their Annual Conference at the Inn at Ole Miss

OXFORD, Miss. – The Mississippi Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics recently hosted their annual conference at the Inn at Ole Miss. Undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Nutrition and Hospitality Management had the incredible opportunity to participate in research presentations, moderate sessions, engage with professionals, and participate in a board meeting.

The event included a plethora of prestigious speakers all with a vast range of knowledge on many different topics and areas of interest. They inspired hope onto this group of future dieticians who each have incredibly bright futures ahead of them. The goal of this conference was to empower the voices of dieticians, and it can safely be said that this goal was well achieved.

Many of the speakers had highly interactive presentations in which students were given the unique opportunity to engage with both their peers and their mentors making it an incredibly valuable exchange of knowledge for all who were involved.

The School of Applied Sciences as well as the Department of Nutrition and Hospitality Management is so grateful that our students were able to experience this enriching event that surely left them feeling much more prepared to one day begin their professional journeys than ever before as they gained such a wealth of knowledge through the event.
